Janet Luongo Create a Life you Love |
| Greetings!
Hello, I look forward to seeing you for my Odyssey course at the Unitarian Church in Westport, Meeting House.
Sun. May 16 12:30 to 2pm - PART TWO - BALANCE YOUR LIFE
Is your life happy or hectic? It's up to you. In my free workshop...
I have planned for you a peaceful, experiential program to energize all spheres of your life and bring them into balance. I will introduce some ideas, give time for discussion about your own issues, and lead you through a simple meditation system based on the " 7 chakras" developed by ancient sages in India.
The main energy centers of our body were identified as chakras, which means wheel in Sanskrit. In my research I have discovered the 7 chakras correspond with our biological structure; our psychology, as described by Abraham Maslow in his Hierarchy of (7) Needs; as well as the 7 Unitarian-Universalist principles.
You will leave with techniques to: return to your soul, strengthen your body, release your creativity, renew your purpose and confidence, prioritize and balance life and work, attract loving relationships, share your gifts, connect to nature, and feel spiritual joy. I so look forward to sharing this beautiful experience with you.
Sheila Tischler had this to say about our previous session, Nourish Your Body: "Thanks so much for the talk on Nutrition in the meeting house 2 weeks ago. It was great and you had great tips. I've passed them along to my daughter-in-law and she showed her copy of Slim for Life....the book you recommended."
It's a free workshop, invite friends. Show up at the Meeting House at 12:30.
RSVP so I know to expect you by calling 203-846-2642

Food and nutrition expert Linda Murphy shows kids and parents what's in food that slows you down, or gives you plenty of energy! Click here: Kids, know what you eat - video. Linda's creative props and solid knowledge, plus really charming kids gives you a colorful way to learn how food affects you, check this out. Both Kids and adults will love it.

In case you missed this...
Eat chocolate. Mostly dark. Not too Much. Michael Pollan, the food expert, is famous for saying, "Eat food. Mostly plants. Not too much." And he is so right. And after you eat all the great greens, have a guilt free taste of dark chocolate. There's a new study released the end of March in the UK that shows that small amounts of dark chocolate lower blood pressure and lower the risk of heart disease.
