Greetings!
Hi - it was so much fun working on the Vision Board with you. Here's more about what creative and healthy looks like in my sample newsletter.
IN PERSON: You're invited to my Eat for Energy workshop at no charge this coming Sunday. Bring friends. See below...
IN PHOTO:below is a picture of what creative and healthy looks like - my neighbor and friend, Terry Hess, , drumming at my 60th birthday party last year.
ONLINE: To hear what it sounds like, see Terry Hess singing with her band her original song, Chef Jeff, at the Acoustic Café, Bridgeport, CT. It's on my channel: www.youtube.com/janetluongo3 Go to Chef Jeff, song by Terry Hess.
Terry Hess inspires me with the way she gracefully balances her life. She maintains loving relationships with her family - husband, son, parents, sister, in-laws, and with her friends and neighbors like me. She and her husband, Peter, are devoted parents, always teaching their son, providing learning opportunities from astronomy and gardening to carpentry and music. He has been now been offered a choice of scholarships at several top notch universities.
Terry is a nourishing person. She works full time as a music teacher, really caring about developing the potential of her students, and doing Big Projects, like introducing African drumming, collaborations with museums, and international issues. A firm advocate for diversity, Terry and I worked on urban-suburban programs together. For fun she teaches sailing in the summer.
I admire Terry's emphasis on pure food, a necessity because her son has severe allergies. The family works a garden, enjoys cooking and eating meals together. She and her husband learned to make the best of it, inventing recipes. They wrote a cookbook for people with allergies.
With all her creative activities as a singer, composer, musician and leader of the Terry Hess Band, Terry is certainly a splendid example of someone who is flourishing!
Terry is featured on my local TV show, and my youtube channel, both called Nourish & Flourish TV, which showcase people who nourish themselves and flourish in beautiful ways. It's about a creative and healthy lifestyle, which go together really well (busting myths about artists having to be starving, miserable drinkers etc.).
For a change, want to watch something upbeat on TV? For those in SW Fairfield County, check out my new music video featuring Terry Hess's upbeat music on cable TV, channel 88 at 6:30 pm on the next two Tuesdays, May 4 and 11th.
Hope you make the time to take care of yourself and share yourself.
Janet
