Greetings!
After the high wind storm and power outage last week in SW Connecticut, we celebrated the spring equinox with temperatures in the 70's and a walk on the beach. We spotted the first crocus pushing through the gravel on our front walk.

Tomorrow I head down to Philadelphia to give a speech at the U.S. Mint to celebrate
women's history month. They asked that one of the women I speak about be a First Lady, and I chose
Michelle Obama, since she exemplifies an authentic, accomplished woman who is successfully balancing supporting her husband, raising her children, and working for good causes. I feel very in tune with her starting one year ago in March to plant an organic garden on the White House lawn. And now this March she announced her campaign for
healthy eating and to end childhood obesity. This initiative will have worldwide impact.
On the way back I speak at a woman's luncheon on Renewal. This is the time of year we feel we can start again. Spring is a good time for love.
Love and relationships is the topic of my Coaching Circle call this week. People on the call are working on losing weight. So why do we talk about love? We all know about emotional eating. If we're upset or feeling unloved, often we try to comfort ourselves with food (real food). The philosophy I learned from Integrative Nutrition is that relationships (along with career, exercise and spirit) comprise the "primary foods" that nourish us. I love Joshua's quote, "If I hate my job and am getting a divorce, no matter how much broccoli I eat, I won't be happy!"
Usually I frame things very positively and help people write positive affirmations. But this time I thought I'd have a little fun and write down sure fire ways to lose your love! Don't follow this advice!
