This week I am due to present in Xi'an, China at Shaanxi Normal University 

AWAKEN YOUR CREATIVITY AND REACH YOUR FULL POTENTIAL.

 

I marvel at how connections between cultures have led to great advances for millenia.  Xi'an was one of the largest and most important cities in the world 5000 years ago, when the first emperor or China had the terracotta army built to protect him in the afterlife. This archealogical wonder was only discovered decades ago, and many people travel to Xi'an, 15 hours by train from Beijing to see it. 

I keep imagining these are warriors fighting for the Good, like battling diseases that can easily be prevented. 

 

The Silk Road brought many people in from Turkey, and as far away as Rome. You can see traces of these ancestors in the faces of the people.

 

I am an American speaking to Chinese college students about American style creativity and innovation.  According to the research of Fred Pryor of Career Track, there are certain traits that creative people share.  Based on those findings, I created affirmations for my book, and will be beginning my talk about these basic traits.

You notice the most important trait was NOT , as many people think, that they were geniuses, or child prodigies or blessed (or cursed) with great talent. It's pretty simple.  hey simply think they are creative, so they create!
