Family Science Night

This annual event for Athens Academy's Pre/Lower School families will include a variety of fun, educational stations and activities designed by the State Botanical Garden to teach about the environment. We hope to see you there!

For the past several weeks, 21 students and the three faculty chaperones have been preparing for the experience of a lifetime by attending special Sunday classes in order to learn more about the cities, culture, art, and the language of Italy. Armed with their newly-acquired knowledge, they are all set to embark on a journey deep into the heart of Western Civilization during a Spring Break trip which is sure to enhance their Athens Academy education immensely.

The group will begin their travels departing for Rome on Tuesday, March 6, and arriving in the Eternal City the following morning, March 7. The next three days will be devoted to soaking up more than 2,500 years of history and culture. Students and chaperones will have the opportunity to visit the impressive Coliseum, gaze at incredible works of art at the Vatican including Michelangelo's ceiling in the Sistine Chapel, and of course insure a return trip to Rome by throwing a coin into the Trevi Fountain!  Read More...
