 Athletics Update
On Tuesday, January 10, the GHSA Executive Committee met in Macon and approved splitting public and private schools during the state tournament within Class A for ALL athletic and extracurricular activities. Below is a list of a few responsibilities and actions which will need to be addressed quickly by the state office: - 16 public schools and 16 private schools will participate in their own state championship.
- The regular season is untouched by the decision to split public and private schools in the playoffs.
- The GHSA office has the primary responsibility of setting up the structure for playoff competitions.
