The Athens Academy Experience:

An Investment in a Lifetime

Athens Academy's mission is to seek excellence with honor in the personal and educational experience of each child. Our goal is to encourage in our students sound scholarship, independent thought, and discriminating judgment, enabling them to examine and evaluate data, deal with concepts, and inquire freely. We focus on the capacity of the individual to make a difference. Personal growth through experience in athletics, fine arts, service, and healthy interpersonal relationships complements the intellectual development of a child. This is the vision that we share in our daily work with the children.  More...

Athens Academy Recognized for Sportsmanship

The Georgia High School Association and Georgia EMC presented Athens Academy with the Cooperative Spirit Award on November 30, 2011. Georgia EMC Vice President Bill Verner explained the significance of the award, saying, "The idea behind the EMC's was 'neighbors helping neighbors', which is the same idea behind this award for sportsmanship. With the Cooperative Spirit Award, you are being recognized by your peers in this region for your conduct on the athletic field, as well as that of your fans, parents, and all aspects of your program here."
