Accreditation Visit
In three days, a team of five educators from independent schools throughout the southeast will spend three days at Athens Academy as part of the accreditation process for the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). The team will confirm that our school is in compliance with SAIS standards and indicators, meet with members of the school community, observe classes, review related documents, learn about the progress the school has made over the last five years, and become acquainted with the school's ongoing long-range planning efforts. If you encounter any of our guests as they make their way around the campus, please do not hesitate to welcome them to our school. The school community is well prepared for the SAIS-SACS accreditation process; now is the time for us to show the team what makes Athens Academy such a special place.

Giving Thanks through Service...
November and December are busy months for service projects at Athens Academy! From a Food Pantry for area families to volunteering around Athens to collecting toys for the Salvation Army, our students and faculty are busy giving back to our community.
*On Thursday, November 17, the eighth grade is sponsoring a food pantry with POUR, Inc. to provide meals for needy families in the area. The eighth graders have raised over $1,000 in order to fund the event. If you are interested in helping the students and their teachers sort, organize, and distribute the meals, contact Geoffrey Walton. More projects... |
