Did You Know?

Preparation for the 2011-12 athletic year starts in the spring for football and cheerleading, and during the summer months for all other sports.   Our student-athletes continue to increase participation numbers with the Strength and Conditioning Program under the direction of Coach Bryan Pulliam; their dedication and commitment to getting stronger and more agile benefits all of our teams throughout the year.   As a matter of fact, our S&C program was recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and the President's Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition as a 2011 Strength of America Award winner.  These awards recognize high schools that have represented the gold standard in strength and conditioning programs and Athens Academy was one of only nine schools recognized throughout the world.  More...

Charleston Wrap Comes to

Athens Academy!

Athens Academy's Charleston Wrap sale kicked off yesterday and ends on Friday, September 30.  There are hundreds of items to choose from, including exceptional quality gift wrap, kitchen gadgets, sporting accessories, fashion accessories, and gifts of all kinds!  

Orders placed through the school's September sale will arrive during the last week of October.  Smaller orders will be shipped directly to your house, and larger orders will be ready for pick-up at a designated location (TBA).  Orders can also be placed online all year long at www.charlestonwrap.com. Please be sure to take a look and support Athens Academy in this important and fun fundraiser!  

MS Athlete Recognition Night and 7^th/8^th Grade

Family Tailgate - Friday, September 23

Middle School fall athletes will be recognized during halftime at the September 23rd home game against Prince Avenue Christian School.   We hope all  7th and 8th grade families will be able to join us for a potluck picnic tailgate before the game at 6:00 p.m. at the track house.   Plan to stay for the game to support the Spartan football team and our own Middle School athletes!

"GameDay" T-Shirt

We are pleased to offer students, parents, alumni and friends of Athens Academy and Prince Avenue Christian School the opportunity to purchase "GameDay" t-shirts for the September 23, 2011 football contest at Athens Academy.  This will be the inaugural year of what we hope becomes a long standing tradition. Together, the schools will design and sell this commemorative t-shirt for their annual football game.  Proceeds from the annual sale of t-shirts will benefit both schools. Look for the order form coming home with your student and posted to the Athletic News Blog on Friday.  We hope to see you at the game in your "GameDay" t-shirt!
