Interim Week

This year's Interim Week, scheduled for September 12-16, once again offers a variety of activities, retreats, and trips for all Upper School students and faculty as they take a break from traditional classroom studies.  Read more on the Upper School page in this month's issue of Spirit.

MS Athlete Recognition Night and

7^th and 8^th Grade Family Tailgate  Friday, September 23

Middle School fall athletes will be recognized during halftime at the September 23 home game against Prince Avenue Christian School.   We hope all 7th and 8th grade families will be able to join us for a potluck picnic tailgate before the game at 6:00 p.m. at the track house.   Plan to stay for the game to support the Spartan football team and our own Middle School athletes! 

Rainforest Fun!

Last Friday our fourth graders were unexpectedly whisked off to the rainforest!

Teachers Mary Ann Naclerio, Amy O'Neill, and Sarah Currie coordinated the events of the day with help from parent volunteers as well as Mary Kline (LS Science), Mary Presnell (LS Art), and Michelle Blume (4th grade assistant teacher).  The sights and sounds of the rainforest were recreated in the fourth grade corridor. Students were delighted to leave their book bags behind and spend the day in exploration-style mini-classes. Read More...
