Donate new or gently-used books for children in grades K-12

 

The Books for Keeps book drive ends on Tuesday, March 8.  Please make sure to have your books in by then.  All books will be given to local children.

THE ACADEMY EXPERIENCE

 

 Often I am asked to explain in quantifiable terms the value of attending the Academy.  At a time when accountability is a major subject, it is reasonable to expect to hear someone say, "Give me the facts."  While statistics - presumably straight-forward facts - are made available by public and non-public schools, do they truly explain all that is occurring in the lives of the students? 

 

The cumulative "statistical facts" of Academy graduates are very impressive as judged by the typical categories:  graduation rates, college acceptances, grade-level achievement scores, SAT scores, AP scores, merit scholarships extended by colleges, National Merit recognitions, etc.  However, there is more that should be valued.  More....
