During the month of December, please donate to our holiday service projects!
- Pre/Lower School students are collecting new or gently used toys and eyeglasses, as well as canned goods. You can send them in to school with a Pre/Lower School student, or drop them off under the Christmas tree in Barrett Hall.
- Middle School students are collecting new, unwrapped toys for the Salvation Army's Toys for Tots program.
- The sixth grade will have a Canned Food Drive during morning carpool line on Thursday, December 9 and Friday, December 10.
- Upper School advisory groups are "adopting" needy children through DFACS for the holidays, providing toys, clothing, and much more.

Athens Academy Welcomes
New Board Members
Athens Academy is pleased to announce the addition of four members to its Board of Trustees: Kelly Johnson, Ed Nichols '90, Margaret McPherson Smith, and Johnny Terrell '77.
Kelly Johnson is a longtime parent and volunteer at Athens Academy. She and her husband Tom have two daughters, sophomore Jordan and eighth grader Kathryn. Their family has been an active part of the Athens Academy community since Jordan was in the K4 program, during which time Kelly has served as PSO chair and also as an Annual Fund and Capital Campaign parent chair; she will participate with the Board's Development Committee.
