This year of planning will help us to reconfirm our mission and operating principles and pave the way for the arrival of the SAIS-SACS visiting team in November 2011. The Academy's thorough approach to this self-assessment process integrates an overall review of our goals and plans with the need to examine our education plan for re-accreditation. National Merit Scholars Announced
Eleven members of Athens Academy's Class of 2011 have been recognized by the National Merit® Scholarship Program for their performance on last October's PSAT/NMSQT. Ned McGregor and Carey Stewart have been named Semi-Finalists and will continue in competition this spring for Merit Scholarship awards. Upper School Drama Performs One Act Play
Athens Academy's entry into the annual GHSA One Act competition is Jim Leonard's Anatomy of Gray. The show will run at Athens Academy from October 28-30 in the Presentation Hall. All shows begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will be $2/students and $5/for adults. A 2010-11 Drama Pass ($20) covers unlimited admission to all Middle and Upper School drama productions. The 2010-11 Super Season Pass for $40 gives admission to all Guest Artist Series performances and school drama productions. |
