Work Hard-Play Hard:A New Twist or An Old Habit?

As I sit down to write this article, I am on day three of our Junior College Tour for 2010.  Our students are being exposed to a wide variety of schools this week; some they will consider attending, while others, which they may not consider attending, have characteristics they may seek in their school of choice.  Wherever we travel, the themes are similar: take advantage of the opportunities presented in high school and your community, push yourself to pursue your passions, engage significantly in each endeavor of your choosing.  Considering these themes, a larger theme comes to mind: the value of hard work Read on...
