 Observations from the Air
Part 2 of 3
After returning from the junior college trip in late
September, I hit the road again to visit colleges and alumni in the
northeast. This trip is one I have made
on behalf of Athens
Academy and our current
seniors for three years. This year, the
visit entailed contact with eight schools and six alumni in four days. While it meant lots of time in the air and on
the road, the insight gained from these interactions will continue to serve our
students for years to come.

Winter Camp 2009
 Athens
Academy Winter Camp is an exciting opportunity for all children four years old
through sixth grade in Athens
and surrounding communities. Activities
begin at 9:00 a.m. and include
art, drama, music, team sports and games, library, camp store, and a special
activity for the day's theme: Pet Day, Native
American Day, Snow Day, and Party Day! Extended
time is available from 7:40 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. and from 3:00 p.m. until 5:30
p.m.

Join the Interact Club and Athens-Clarke County's
Recycling Division in collecting shoes for the Soles4Souls program!
Bring
in any size or style of shoes to the Upper
School office by Tuesday,
November 24. Shoes must have an intact sole and matching mate and must be
tied or rubber-banded together. The shoe recycling program will benefit
needy people in the United
States and around the world, and will also
help our environment by keeping old shoes out of our landfills.
