using these weekly emails to keep parents informed! Now the September issue of the monthly newsletter, Spirit, is just a click away.
Spirit will be
available on the web at the beginning of each month through May. You will also receive directory updates in an
attachment by email once a month. Please
be sure to print these out and update your directory, so that you can stay in
touch with fellow parents!

Students Win Poster Contest
  Athens Academy students Maggie Ivy and Katherine Suarez were recently
recognized by the State Board of Education after placing first in a
poster contest sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of
Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP). Katharine, who is in fifth grade, and
Maggie, who is in fourth grade, each won first place for their
respective grade levels, beating out students from across the state of
