Admissions director Tom Ryan welcomed families and praising parents for their continued commitment to the school. "Today we honor not only those fathers whose commitments to continuing CM's legacies stand before us, but all those parents in the six decades of our history who have sent their sons to be formed as Knights," Ryan said... Campus Ministry News
For the past eleven years, Catholic Memorial School has proudly supported the American Cancer Society's "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" Walk.
Affectionately known as "the sea of red," CM students in grades 7-12 take time out of their busy schedules to support this wonderful cause. Last year, over half of the student body participated on walk day.
This year, the walk will be held at the Charles River Esplanade on Sunday, October 14th. Students will meet in the Catholic Memorial gym at 7:15 and will return to the school by 12:30 p.m.
Catholic Memorial has a very special reason for walking this year; one of our own Tara Shuman, wife of Brian Shuman '98, was recently diagnosed and has just begun her battle with Breast Cancer...[read more]

Get the latest scores and news on the CM Twitter feed, or in-game updates and commentary from @CMSuperFan.
Although they came within a stroke of the win in their matchup against Xaverian yesterday, the varsity golf team did have some good news to share: Mike Mason '13 "stole the show" at the Brockton Open last week. Varsity soccer defeated Newton South, 3-1, on Saturday to move to 1-1 on the season; Pat Hurley '13 scored all three goals for CM. They visit St. John's Prep tomorrow. Varsity XC opens its season against Archbishop Williams on September 20 at 3:45pm at Larz Anderson Park.
As part of his senior service project, Ed DeLuca '13 (pictured) enlisted the help of Roche Brothers in making this fall soccer season a special one. To benefit the Special Olympics of Massachusetts, DeLuca convinced Roche Bros. to donate $25 for every goal the soccer team scores in the regular season. He hopes to sharpen his offensive skills enough this season to earn $1500 for those in need in the process!

Give me a C! And an M!
Cheerleading returns to Baker Street
Thanks to a new partnership between CM and Mt. Alvernia, the Catholic Memorial Spirit Program is underway again under the leadership of science teacher and spirit coach Ms. Cells.
Cheering for the Knights at football games this fall, the Spirit Program will reinforce the already spirited cheering section of "Superfans" at home games. This winter, they plan to lead cheers at home basketball games and wrestling meets.
To start the year off right, the team invites all students, parents, alumni, faculty and staff to a Fall Sports Liturgy and Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, September 23. Please click here for more information.
If the results of the September 7 home opener are anything to go by, this reinvigorated CM tradition is already contributing a great deal!
