CM Forensics On Top Again

Coaches Rob Croteau '93 and Brother Anthony Cavet led the CM Forensics Team to the annual Fr. Gerald Rippon Memorial Tournament at Regis High School in Manhattan on January 17.  The team finished in 2nd place at the tournament, just one point behind top New York City competitor Stuyvesant High School.

Picturing America: Writing contest brings forth CM's top creative talent

Simas, Fanikos, dePierro '10 take top honors
Winners of CM's annual Picturing America Writing Contest were honored at a brief ceremony in the Catholic Memorial School Board Room on December 14th.

CM's Continuing Partnership with SADD
Quiet Study Times Offered During Exam Week

Among many of CM's student activities, SADD--Students Against Destructive Decisions--has been in operation for many years now, and during midterm exam week the group will be hosting quiet study hours for students preparing for exams.

Coach William Hanson Honored with Mariucci Award

The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) has named Catholic Memorial School guidance counselor and head hockey coach William Hanson the recipient of the 2009 John Mariucci Award. 

The award, named after former Minnesota player and coach John Mariucci, was created to honor a secondary school coach "who best exemplifies the spirit, dedication, and enthusiasm of the 'Godfather of U.S. Hockey,' John Mariucci."  [read more]
