Occupy WallStreet to Occupy Portland, there's lots going on around the world where people are actively questioning and activating against the status quo. Here's a note that captured it for me. I encourage you to figure out some way to learn more about this movement and support it. It's the best currency we have, ourselves, our communities, our minds and our actions.
The birthday garden @ 3rd and Hancock that a group of friends started has been prolific this Spring/Summer and Fall. Thanks to those who helped us put it in. Here are some photos of how it's looking right now! We grew some of the tallest sunflowers ever, and the seeds are drying now and so the sunflower seed packet project can continue into 2012.
Biz: If you're curious about starting your own email newsletter, I am glad to help you get started. Just give me a shout. It's pretty easy to get started and a great way to support whatever endeavor you have going on.
I hope you're enjoying this lovely autumn season and sukkot. Word has it that my friend Scott McKinley (also a good friend of Amira's) has helped put together a sukkah at the Occupy Portland occupation. I can't wait to see it!
Be well,
Albert Kaufman
