Dear Valued Customer,
What's New in Happy New Year?
We begin each year by wishing everyone a Happy New Year - a wonderful, universal custom and a welcomed word of encouragement to all. It makes me stop and think, "What will be new in 2011?" At Nor'east Cleaners, a lot.
Home delivery service will continue to be expanded throughout the North Shore, and offered in new communities like Newburyport, Rowley and Georgetown.
The most up-to-date and finest shirt-pressing equipment has just been installed, assuring you that your expertly-pressed shirts will be second to none. High-efficiency gas boilers will be installed and will dramatically reduce our carbon footprint. In 2011, Nor'east will be the first dry cleaner in the Boston area to install dry cleaning machines specifically designed to use a revolutionary dry cleaning fluid which is biodegradable, completely safe for humans, good for clothes, and a better cleaner than our current solution. More about this in the next newsletter!
All this represents a major investment for which we thank Bank Gloucester, but it could not be undertaken without the confidence you, our customers, continue to show in us.
Thank you for your support!
We are Happy to serve you in this New Year.

Wear Red Day®
Stairs or elevator? Baked or fried? These are just some of the decisions we make each day that impact our heart's health. In 2004, the American Heart Association (AHA) faced a challenge. Cardio-vascular disease was claiming the lives of nearly 500,000 women each year, yet women were not paying attention. To raise awareness of heart disease as the number one killer of women, the American Heart Association created the "Go Red For Women" initiative to empower women to take charge of their heart health. Donations to "Go Red For Women" support the AHA's efforts to fund breakthrough research and education on women and heart disease. Sign up today at "Go Red For Women" to donate, get news, health tips, recipes, and receive your FREE red dress pin. Go Red and Go Red For Women are trademarks of AHA. The Red Dress Design is a trademark of U.S. DHHS.

Staff Spotlight: Danielle Demetri
We consistently receive excellent feedback on our Nor'east staff. Let us tell you just how special they really are! Danielle Demetri started at Nor'east in 1994, while a senior at Gloucester HS. Working summers and vacations, she
embarked on a college career, with a goal towards a degree in Psychology. While working on her undergraduate and master's degrees, she watched Nor'east grow from one location to three, and from 50 to 1000+ delivery customers today. Currently Danielle is Nor'east's Retail Manager supervising customer service, managing staff and providing accounting services for all three locations. Danielle brings to Nor'east not only a backgound in clinical counseling, but also a passion for European travel. She and her husband, Justin have backpacked through most of Europe, always managing to land in her favorite of destinations, Belgium. Her lifelong Gloucester-based family was thrilled to welcome her son, Marcus, born in May, 2010. Danielle and Justin look forward to introducing Marcus to their interests in camping, and enjoying new travel adventures as a family.
