Let's talk ... more often! When you
juxtapose the new developments in color measurement technologies with all
the evolving, internal pressures of the pressroom, we find new value in communication.
There are new solutions to announce, tips & techniques to communicate,
product insights to share ... all designed to bring more value to our
customers.
There is
much for us to hear from our customers, as well ... what new functionality is
needed, what new color guidelines are being adopted, and new requests clients
are making. Two-way communications in today's printing industry is critical.
With this in
mind, TECHKON is announcing two new initiatives aimed at providing a more
dynamic communication link with our customers: First, this new quarterly
newsletter, TechKONNECT which will
both provide timely announcements and product information, as well as invite
commentary from our end users; and second, a new website, www.TECHKONUSA.com which will serve as a platform to enhance the TECHKON product experience.

ExPresso Pro v3.4.0.7

Wedge, Photo Lab? These are just some of the free updates released in the last year and available to TECHKON customers free of
charge on the Downloads page of our website.
All of these product updates are geared to shorten your ROI and bring more
functionality and value to your TECHKON product investment.
TECHKON's newest release is ExPresso Pro v3.4.0.7 software which drives our
SpectroDrive auto-scanning pressroom systems. Two of the major additions
in this new build are the
Alwan export format which offers Alwan customers the ability to use our scanners in a very seamless
work flow, and a Mitsubishi export format which enables our
scanning systems to be directly interfaced with the Mitsubishi press
consoles for closed loop color control on press.
Download and use the
ExPresso Pro software in demo mode to explore its full functionality. If you are happy
with the performance of your SpectroDens handheld instrument, the SpectroDrive
takes all of that functionality and automates it for your press crews. The SpectroDrive has the same G7 implementation as the SpectroDens, at
a much lower cost and double the warranty (2 years) than competitive
systems.

A "Scan Held" Device, for the Same Cost
as a Densitometer?
Imagine purchasing a "Scan
Held" device for the same dollars that used to buy a densitometer? Here's looking at
TECHKON SpectroJet® in a whole new light! SpectroJet is a compact color
measurement device that captures spectral values, densities, dot gain, printing
contrast and gray balance data automatically. It combines the functionality of
handheld densitometer and scanning spectrophotometer, capturing single
measurements in 1 second, or scanning an entire 20" color bar in 4 seconds.
One of SpectroJet's unique features is that it has a 1.5 x1.5mm measuring aperture allowing customers to read patches as small as 3 x 3mm, clearly a competitive selling point.
How does this
"ScanHeld" device work? SpectroJet is manually operated by guiding the device
along a color bar, and switches easily from semi-automated scanning to a hand
held for spot color measurement checks. Tracking wheels (on bottom of device)
ensure a secure and straight run. For longer distances, the device can be slid
along a guiding track. The measurement data is transferred instantly to TECHKON
ExPresso® software for analysis, automated color adjustments and generation of
