Baseball Has its Challenges!
| Home Run!  | | Whether it's a slide into home base, a diving catch in the outfield, or blob of mustard on your favorite shirt, baseball season brings a whole new set of cleaning challenges! At Nor'east Cleaners, we're always happy to give free Fabric First Aid advice on removing the most stubborn stains.
Here are some of the
tricks to our trade:
1. The sooner, the
better in tackling a stain.
2. Avoid putting stained fabrics in the washer or dryer; as the heat will "set" the
stain you are removing.
3. For dirt and grass: Rub a mixture of warm water and vinegar directly into the stain, and then
wash as you normally would.
4. For mustard: Scrape off any excess. Soak fabric in a
solution of dishwashing liquid and denatured alcohol (in a ratio of
3:1) for 15 minutes, and rinse with hot water.
