The Finishing Touch was started in June 2001 by Misty Trevino in Sacramento, CA. The Finishing Touch designs and manufactures custom window treatments, bedding, pillows, cushions and table coverings. The company also offers various hard window treatments, fabrics, trims and drapery hardware from quality partner companies. We are adding to our offerings and bringing in some beautiful home accessories & custom furniture as well.
The company is committed to honest and ethical business practices and provides the highest quality workmanship. We are a member of the Window Coverings Association of America and adhere to the WCAA's workroom quality standards.

As I write this I am sitting in my fabrication studio with the windows open, listening to the birds and the rain. I am reminded of new beginnings and the transformations that come along with a new season. My first Calla Lilly has bloomed at my doorstep and I am sitting in eager anticipation of spring just around the corner. It's my favorite time of year!
You may remember my January newsletter was all about Courage...boldly embracing the uncertain...getting yourself "unstuck" and moving in a new direction. So far, I am happy to report that my endeavor to embrace change and be courageous has been a wonderful choice. My business is booming and I'm beginning to experience "growing pains" as I attempt to keep up with all of the new work. It's a fantastic problem to have. Especially on the heals of a very challenging 2010. I am encouraged and I have many of you to thank for my current success. Thank you!
Today I want to talk about Transformations. Dictionary.com defines transformations as a change in form, appearance, nature or character. It's a great challenge to us to be transformed. We as humans don't like to change, but it is usually for the better, right? Well, the reason I bring this up is because the new design studio that I have recently opened up in conjunction with several other businesses is called "Transformations". Each of our independent businesses are in the business of Transforming lives or spaces. Our grand opening is coming up THIS SATURDAY NIGHT and I'd love it if you could come out and see the new studio and meet my other "office partners".
