Greetings!
When was the last time you were surprised by a company that exceeded your expectations and wowed you with the level of service you received?  I know that all too often these days we receive mediocre service from hurried service people and when someone actually takes the time to go "above and beyond" our expectations, we are taken aback.

Recently, I had the opportunity to provide "above and beyond" service to a client.  To make it brief, a customer was not happy with the way her new curtains were hanging.  (Currently, there are 2 main methods of "dressing" decorative side panels...one is loose and free flowing and the other is very crisp and tailored.)  When the customer expressed her concerns to me over the phone, I advised her that I completely understood what the problem was and that I would be happy to come back and dress her side panels in a more tailored fashion.  She asked me, "How much is this going to cost me?" to which I replied, "Nothing.  That's part of the service I provide."

You see...in our fast passed lives, we often see companies cutting corners and, as consumers, we may be tempted to choose the company who provides a lower bid only to find out later that "this is not covered" and "that is not covered".  In the end, we have spent the same (if not more) money than we would have if we chose the top notch company.  And, to make matters worse, we have had to deal with the frustration of fighting with the company to get what we expected to be included in the first place.

It has always been my goal to exceed my clients expectations.  Sometimes mistakes happen, but I look at those mistakes as opportunities to give my client a level of service that they had not expected.  In a world of cutting corners to save money, The Finishing Touch has never bought into that method of doing business.  It is my goal that you will be "more than satisfied" with both the level of service and the quality of work that you receive.  My hope is that you will be raving fans who tell your friends and family about The Finishing Touch

So, please, remember the age old saying the next time you are entertaining the option of cutting corners..."You get what you pay for."

Blessings,

Misty

A Few Recent Projects...
This has already been a very eventful summer for me.  There were several projects on my plate that were all coming due at about the same time.  They have all been completed, but I have been too busy getting the work out that I have not had the chance to blog about my work.  For now, I thought I would share with you some of the pictures from recent projects and a little bit of information about each of them.  Enjoy!

The Finishing Touch Booth
In this beautiful dining room, I added the embroidered faux silk panels and custom drapery hardware.  Next on the agenda for this room is to add a silk or velvet cord cover for the beautiful light fixture.  This will allow us to conceal the chain  and dress up the look of this already lovely dining room.

The Finishing Touch Booth
A balloon valance with necktie jabots inspired by one of my favorite window treatment books (The Design Directory of Window Treatments by Jackie Von Tobel).

This very LONG and very beautiful cuff-top valance spans over 100"
and truly finishes off this otherwise bare window.

The Market Place in Rancho Cordova Opens to the Public on September 1st!
You may remember that in my last newsletter I mentioned The Market Place in Rancho Cordova where I will be renting a 10x10 booth in order to showcase my business.  This is a year-round home show style venue that is open from 10am to 7pm 7 days/week beginning September 1st.  There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:15am on September 1st.  Mark your calendars and be on the lookout for a special invitation that will provide you with details about when I will be in the booth so you can pick up a free gift from me!

Also, please pass the news onto your friends.  I am excited about the opportunity to meet and network with new local vendors who can help me make my home (and yours)
even more beautiful.

Check out The Market Place on Facebook to learn more about what will be offered.

Give us a call today at (916) 804-1550 to schedule a personal in-home consultation.  Remember...we are never too busy for your referrals.
