About the Company...

The Finishing Touch was started in June 2001 by Misty Trevino in Sacramento, CA. The Finishing Touch designs and manufactures custom window treatments, bedding, pillows, cushions and table coverings. The company also offers various hard window treatments, fabrics, trims and hardware from quality partner companies.

The company is committed to honest and ethical business practices and provides the highest quality workmanship. We are a member of the Window Coverings Association of America and adhere to the WCAA's workroom quality standards.

So much has gone on with The Finishing Touch over the past few months that it's hard to know where to begin. You may want to read our blog if you haven't checked it out in a while to see what we've been up to.

The biggest thing I would like to share with you is that we just did our first Home show this January at Cal Expo. This was a big step of faith for our little company, but it turned out to be a such great event. Much of January was spent planning the space and making everything we would need to showcase our work. Some of you who are reading this newsletter now meet us for the first time at the show. Thanks so much for making the weekend so enjoyable!

We started developing a line of bedding back in October and were able to showcase the "Woodland Bedding" ensemble at the home show. This set is now fully ready for purchase with pricing details available. The remaining 7 ensembles are put together and pricing details will be available soon.

We are looking forward to some great things this year and we hope you are as well. 2009 was a challenging year for many of you and we hope that you are remaining encouraged and moving forward.

At the Home & Landscape Expo I had many inquiries on what to do with arched windows. This picture is the only one I had with me at the show, so I thought I would compile some additional ideas to share with all of you. There are so many unusual windows these days that require a bit of imagination to dress properly.
