With Valentines Day upon us, we are surrounded with red heart shaped boxes filled with chocolates and thoughts of love and appreciation for those in our lives.
This year my daughter had to hand make 20 valentines for her classmates...and she is only in kindergarten! And, I think I actually saw the valentines items showing up in stores before Christmas was even over! Whew...sometimes life feels like such a whirlwind.
If you are like me, you love giving and receiving those token's of appreciation. Flowers, candy, jewelry and especially the hart felt card that lets me know I am loved and appreciated are some of my favorite things.
Sometimes, what I am really after thought is a little respite. Some peace, some quiet, and a beautiful environment to spend that time in. Our homes are such a reflection of our personalities. They represent the things we like, the colors we enjoy. They are the place that we share this life with our families and our friends. They can be chaotic, or, with the proper care, they can provide us the respite we all so desperately need.
That is the heart of why I do what I do. I love to help people enjoy their homes. I love to help them express themselves. I especially enjoy giving people the permission to use the colors they love so that their homes are a reflection of their unique personalities.
I hope you have a wonderful Valentines Day with the ones you love. And if your significant other is having a hard time finding just the right gift for you this year...point them in my direction. Perhaps it's time for some new bedding to snuggle up under!
