THE MAGIC OF NUTRITION™ Founder & Performer,  Todd Kupper, RD, LDN ~ a.k.a. "Taddo"

I am a Registered Dietitian and a Licensed Nutritionist in the state of Pennsylvania.

I am also an award-winning professional magician who has developed a unique program called THE MAGIC OF NUTRITION™ designed to combat the growing number of children and adolescents who are struggling with nutritional issues such as obesity, lack of activity and poor food choices.

It is with great pride that I announce that my book The Magic of Breakfast is now available.

This easy reader picture book combines fundamental information about nutrition with the entertaining adventures of Chewy to teach children the importance of eating breakfast.
 
It is a light-hearted tale of adventure mixed creatively with important facts about nutrition.
 
Children everywhere will be delighted to follow along with Chewy the rabbit and his friend Tommy as they search for buried treasure. Chewy and Tommy know they are on the trail of something good, and don't give up until they find it. Little do they know how much they will learn along the way!

National Nutrition MonthNational Nutrition Month® is a nutrition education and information campaign sponsored annually by the American Dietetic Association. The campaign is designed to focus attention on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits.
 
 
12 Easy, Tasty and Healthy Snacks for Kids!
When a snack attack strikes, refuel with these nutrition-packed snacks. You may need an adult to help with some of these snacks.
1. Peel a banana and dip it in yogurt. Roll in crushed cereal and freeze.
 
2. Spread celery sticks with peanut butter or low-fat cream cheese. Top with raisins. Enjoy your "ants on a log."
3. Stuff a whole-grain pita pocket with ricotta cheese and Granny Smith apple slices. Add a dash of cinnamon.
4. Mix together ready-to-eat cereal, dried fruit and nuts in a sandwich bag for an on-the-go snack.
5. Smear a scoop of frozen yogurt on two graham crackers and add sliced banana to make a yummy sandwich.
6. Top low-fat vanilla yogurt with crunchy granola and sprinkle with blueberries.
7. Microwave a small baked potato. Top with reduced-fat cheddar cheese and salsa.
8. Make snack kabobs. Put cubes of low-fat cheese and grapes on pretzel sticks.
 
9. Toast a whole grain waffle and top with low-fat yogurt and sliced peaches.
10. Spread peanut butter on apple slices.
 
11. Blend low-fat milk, frozen strawberries and a banana for
thirty seconds for a delicious smoothie.
 
12. Toss dried cranberries and chopped walnuts in instant oatmeal.
