The new Customer Care and Billing (CCB) system goes Live!
April 4 was a day full of curiosity and inquiries about the new CCB system. For GreyStone, the day was historic. Our call center, cashiers, and member service representatives handled the co-op's largest member traffic day to date! Many of you called or visited our office and experienced the delays first hand, and we appreciate your patience.
With 2,800-3,500 calls coming in on a normal day, the Member Services department really put it into high gear handling the 9,700+ calls that were received on April 4. As one would expect in any large conversion, there are some technical glitches that we are working to overcome, and our team is dedicated to handling them in an efficient and timely manner!
ADDITIONAL REMINDERS:
If you have not already received your new account number in your April bill, you can access it from the website. Simply follow the link on the left side of the web page to "Register for Online Services." You will need your old or new GreyStone Power account number and the last four digits of your social security number or, for commercial accounts, your company's employer identification number. Follow the directions to register as a member. Once you have logged into your account online, visit the "Account Information" tab to view your new account number. You may also call GreyStone at 770-942-6576. We are currently experiencing longer hold times than usual and appreciate your patience.
Please make sure that you give this new account number to your financial institution to ensure your payments continue without interruption. Members on automatic bank or debit/credit card draft will need to re-enroll in draft payments if you have not already done so.
For additional conversion information, check out the Reaching New Heights pamphlet. |

Earth Day |
For over 40 years, Earth Day has inspired individuals and organizations to demonstrate their loyalty and commitment to preserving earth's natural environment.
Earth Day was first held on April 22, 1970, as an environmental teach-in. Founder Gaylord Nelson, a United
States senator, focused on the United States, but in 1990, his national coordinator, Denis Hayes, took the day of awareness international and organized events in 141 nations. Earth Day is now celebrated in more than 175 countries each year.
In 2001, Green Power EMC (GPEMC), a partnership of GreyStone Power with 16 other co-ops, was incorporated, launching the first renewable energy program in Georgia. Today, 39 Georgia EMCs participate in the program helping their members keep our environment cleaner by using clean, green energy. More than 265.5 million kilowatt-hours have been generated using four fuel sources: landfill gas, low-impact hydro energy, wood waste biomass and solar energy.
Green Power is available to all members. For an additional $5 per month, 150 kilowatt-hour blocks can be purchased which helps finance research and development of new green power sources. For more information about Green Power EMC, visit www.greenpoweremc.com or call 770-942-6576. |
