Hello All - In case you missed the event AND the WCAX news clip on Project Day - please click here to see the action that happened on Saturday. Thanks to our former Governor, Jim Douglas, we received some nice coverage and some great press for both the HBRA and Rebuilding Together. What you won't see in this clip is Brian Richard cleaning up the electrical in the basement, Ali White applying paint on the interior, Joe-The-Remodeler-of-The-Year-Meccia working on 2 bathrooms, Cliff Deetjen and Tim Frost helping out another neighbor with a new front deck, Claudine Safar's breakfast breads and cider and applying paint to the exterior (or maybe you will see her high up - can't recall), Felicia Fosters mouthwatering lasagna and all the work John Olson did as Site Captain to pull this off! Keep your eye out for Mike and Sam Gervais with their "apprentice" Nick Ladue working on the back deck too. HBRA member and long time RT*GB supporter David Raphael and his wife Nicole Corrignan did a fabulous job on the front porch. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all our volunteers for putting in a fun day's labor. The progress was amazing!
Warm regards, Dixie Dixie F. O'Connor Chair - Remodelers Council Secretary - Rebuilding Together*Greater Burlington

_______________________________________________ | WHY ARE YOU A MEMBER OF THE HBRA?
- Is it to get new business and promote your company?
- Is it to support the industry that feeds you?
- Is it for the credibility the VBIA Offers?
- Is it to build relationships, both business & personal?
- Is it to stay current on the issues that affect your industry?
Whatever your reason is for being a member of the HBRA, the REAL question to ask is... - Are you doing EVERYTHING in your power to make your membership successful?
Here's how to answer those questions and how to take action: - If your reason is to get new business and promote your company
- GET INVOLVED!! You will only get out of the Association what you put into it. The best way to promote yourself is to be VISIBLE! Come to a GMM, have a booth at the Table Top Night or Home & Garden Show, be a sponsor of the Holiday Party.
- If your reason is to support the industry that feeds you:
- GET INVOLVED!! Did you know that we have a VERY active Political Action Committee that supports local candidates? You can be a part of that process. Also, a big way to support our fights is financially, by sponsoring and attending our events, they are all fundraisers for the HBRA, and by recruiting new members. Not only are new members a help financially, they also add to our numbers and there is STRENGTH in numbers!
- If your reason is for the credibility the HBRA Offers:
- GET INVOLVED!! How will others know that you are a member if you aren't involved? Advertise you business in our publications & website, come to events. Be seen!
- If your reason is to build relationships, both business & personal:
- GET INVOLVED!! Participate on one of our MANY committees, come to our GMM's and Mixers. How can you build relationships if you don't try to meet new people?
- If your reason is to stay current on the issues that effect your industry:
- GET INVOLVED!! Read our monthly E-Builder newsletters, read our Quarterly Magazine, follow us on facebook, check our our website and take our calls when we call to tell you about an important meeting.
Are you noticing a theme here??? GET INVOLVED!! Our Association is only as good as our volunteers. If we don't have help, how will everything get done? If you have questions on how you can get involved, call (802) 876-6200 or email cbrigham@vtbuilders.com.
