For many Christmas is the most magical of celebrations.  The holiday has a way of transforming our short and chilly Canadian weather into a time of warmth, generosity and celebration.

 

Christmas brings with it the end of another year followed by the beginning of a new year.  It's a time to reflect and a time to renew, a time to give and a time to receive.

 

To make the most of this wonderful time of year we hope you'll take time for yourself. Be sure that no matter how busy it gets, you make plans to nurture and pamper yourself. 

 

Block off personal time on your calendar and guard it just as you would any important appointment. There are always things that need to be done, but special memories are usually made when you least expect it. Take time to listen to holiday music and browse through a magazine. Indulge yourself with little pleasures - make a list of your favourite things or even the travel destinations you'd like to visit. Meet a friend for a hot chocolate or special coffee. Go for an evening walk under the stars, or a skate at a local rink. Watch your favourite Christmas movies or spend some quiet time in front of a crackling fire with a warm cup of tea.

 

And don't forget to take pleasure in the joy of giving to those less privileged.  Choose a local community or international organization and help change someone's life this Christmas.  It's the beauty of thoughtful giving that makes it such a magical season.

 

In closing I would like to thank you for your continued support.  Our women have made some wonderful memories and friendships during our journeys in 2010.  These memories, friendships, laughter and ultimate travel experience empower us all.  That's why we at Broad Horizons remain committed to helping women live their best lives and realize their wildest dreams through travelling the world.

 

We have some wonderful tours planned for 2011 and even more in the works.  In this newsletter we're very pleased to be providing you with a new and exciting tour through the Dordogne Region in Southern France.  All the details are now available and seats are starting to fill up.  In additional we're thrilled to announce our SHORT BREAK tour to New York City this spring.
