On December 11, Gubernatorial Candidate John Kasich made himself available for a meet and greet with entrepreneurs at Anthony Law. He shared his pro small business agenda for Ohio. He discussed fiscal responsibility and governmental accountability; less cumbersome regulations, labor and worker's compensation reform, and lower taxes. The audience of entrepreneurs and small business owners were very appreciative. A special thanks to Lawrence Funderburke and Mark Meyer for all of their help in putting this event together. |

| An Entrepreneur's Perspective
A New Place
As we all slog ahead, we look forward in hope of a new reality, a new place; a place that encourages productivity; where its laws and policies make sense and where its first class citizens are its job creators and entrepreneurs, rather than lawyers, politicians and special interest groups.
Looking back, it's dark and dreary. I see a city full of dilapidated and empty skyscrapers, industrial buildings and governmental housing; built by titans of greed, and elitists for a different era. It's a place where we grew up; but it's not home anymore. It's a dying city; where thieves and agents roam, depriving us of our livelihood through higher taxes, governmental dictates and lawsuits; the rules don't make sense; they leave our families and children hungry. Jobs are diminishing; poverty reigns. Our great grandparents (agrarians) came to this city with dreams and hopes; but we must leave now.
As we make this journey toward this new place, I look around and see others just like me, teams of groups and businesses; big and small. Together we are more numerous than the sands in the sea. We are strong. We are all moving forward, working, creating and producing.
As we press on, looking ahead to the new place,
skyscrapers don't exist; death agents, governmental thieves and Plaintiff's attorneys are not allowed and the roads are carefully crafted without any pitfalls or traps for business. It's a new place, unaffected by previous battles and wars. A place that accentuates the talents and abilities of its people. A place that encourages
and rewards productivity and risk. A place of prosperity. |
