3 Areas to Systematize -People and Education
By: Dave & Linda Brincks, Action COACH Business Coaching
Systems are the way to truly maximize your time so you can rely more on your team and less on yourself (the owner) to get things done. If you've never read the book "The E-Myth" by Michael Gerber, pick up a copy and read it this weekend. It is a great description of what can happen when you try to do everything yourself: you become exhausted, overwhelmed, frustrated and usually not a lot of fun to be around; and your business is no longer bringing the enjoyment, and perhaps not the profit, that you had hoped for. So where do you start? Read more.

Your Business Depends on Your Employees' Strengths
By: Gail Patrick
As a business owner, you probably spend some time thinking of ways to reward your staff. Rewards come in many different forms - promotions, cash, time off, event tickets, and company parties. You also spend time thinking of ways to increase your business profitability. This may include business strategic planning, brainstorming, efficiency studies, and customer survey activities. You want to keep your good employees and your customers. Read more. |
| The Value of Forming a Legal Entity for Your Business
Do you own a car, a house, cash, bank accounts, or other personal or real property? Do you earn wages, 1099 funds, or receive other income? Do you have any personal net worth? If you answered yes to any of the above, it is imperative that you form a legal entity for your business to protect those personal assets. If you don't, you take the risk of losing all or some of your hard-earned personal assets in the event of business catastrophe. Read More. |
| The Secret to Great Customer Service
By: Shelley Menduni
If you could grow your business, increase your volume; attract new business without spending a dime, would you be interested? One of the basic principals in the workplace that often is overlooked is incivility. Research in 2002 released by Public Agenda stated that 88% of all Americans surveyed said they had often or sometimes encountered people who were rude or disrespectful. Read more. |
Nurturing the Nursing Profession invites you to Celebrate Nursing
When: September 27, 2009 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Columbus State Community College, Center for Workforce Development
315 Cleveland Ave., 4th Floor Ballroom
The mission of Nurturing the Nursing Profession (NNP) is to bring the nationwide nursing shortage to everyone's attention and to find a solution. There has been a national nursing shortage for several years in our country, a problem that will only become worse at a time when our nation will need nurses the most. Currently, the majority of people in the nursing profession are "baby boomers" who will be retiring over the next decade-leaving the medical field with an even greater shortage of these important caregivers. If there are not enough new nurses to fill the void, our country will be lacking a critical need as our aging population will need more medical attention. Meanwhile, we are faced with low enrollment in this profession due to cost of tuition and lack of professors. We need to carefully navigate this shortage! Click for more information. |
