Second Wind Dreams®
News & Inspirations
Greetings!

We are thankful for each of you!

During the season of Thanksgiving, we reflect on the many blessings of the past year.  Because of each one of you, we are able to move this mission forward a little more each and every day.  Because of you, elders are realizing their dreams in ways they never thought possible.  Because of you, the world is viewing aging a little differently.  For that, we are grateful.

On behalf of the board of directors and the staff of Second Wind Dreams®, we wish each and every one of you a  safe a happy Thanksgiving holiday.

We are Thankful for Dreams ...And the Dreamweavers who make them come true!
To Fly
Esther's flight

Frankfort, KY

Talk about living life to the fullest.

A Kentucky woman is seizing the day and taking to the skies, realizing a dream 99 years in the making.

On Tuesday, Esther Phillians finally took to the skies to fly a plane for the first time.

It all started with a simple survey at her home in Ashwood Place in Frankfort.

One of the questions was what would you like to do?

Phillians answer was to fly an airplane.

After a brief tutorial, with her co-pilot, Frank, Phillians was airborne, along with her sister Pat, who tagged along.

Phillians says the experience was everything she imagined and more.

Ellijay, GA
In 1942 & 43, Mr. Tom Rothchild and Mr. Cliffor Wall served this country together in the Ninth Weather Squadron, US Army/Air Force during WWII.  After the war, they went their separate ways.  They corresponded over the years but hadn't seen each other since 1943.  On Veteran's Day, they were reunited when Mr. Wall walked into the Ellijay, GA Chamber of Commerce Luncheon much to the surpise of Mr. Rothchild!
