New Website Features
Dear Members, Supporters, Volunteers and Friends,
 
We have been working with KMS Technology to create an interactive website to provide an avenue for better communication with all of you.  We would like to encourage each one of you to take a moment to explore what is available on the new site.  Below are some examples of some of the new features. 
 
  • Dream Submission via our new "E-Dreams" network - here you can submit dreams that may need some extra funding or exposure to find in-kind donations.  We want you to begin submitting dreams any time!  You can also search what dreams are in the works and choose one or more to support.  In addition, you can submit your dream outcome measurements through this process as well.  Simply log in and choose "Create a Dream" and in the "Dream Status" field, choose "New Fulfilled Outside".  Complete the appropriate fields and submit!  It's that easy.  Once we receive it and review it for accuracy, we will post to your profile as a completed dream.  You can also upload pictures with your submission!  Once the dream is posted to your profile, you can add comments and even share the dreams on Facebook and Twitter!
 
  • Second Wind DreamsŪ Forum - a place where members, volunteers and supporters can network and we will be hosting weekly "chats" with special guests begriming soon!
  • Virtual Dementia TourŪ Forum - a place where those who own a VDT Kit can network and receive up to the date information about dementia and related topics from our founder, PK Beville along with organized chats with key professionals to be announced soon!
  • Volunteers - if you volunteer for Second Wind DreamsŪ we want you to register on our site and be counted!  By registering, you will receive emails when volunteer opportunities are available in your area as well as having access to the SWD forum and members only section of our website!
  • Supporter's Links - Are you a business who supports Second Wind DreamsŪ?  We'd like to add a link to your business website under our links tab - please let us know if you would like to be included!
 
  • Calendar of Events - As a registered member, you will be able to submit events to be included on our events calendar.  Are you hosting a "Dream Celebration", a VDT educational program or a community VDT event.  We want you to utilize the calendar to promote your event.  Events are subject to approval by SWD staff prior to inclusion on the calendar. 
 
We will be adding more features as the site develops but for now - we hope you will take a moment to begin using the features available now.  If you are a member and have not received your registration notification, please contact our membership director, Laurie Labishak for more information.
