Change in Northwest Forums
Greetings!

We love serving the Northwest!

Over the last three and a half years we have seen our local ministry grow from Three forums to Thirty forums. It has been exciting as we have observed God at work in and through business leaders. We are thrilled to tell you that there is a God-sized movement taking place that is much bigger than us and we have the privilege of participating with God in this wonderful venture. We see God at work in many organizations in our region and we love walking along side of them.

There are times when things must change and recently we have experienced a change. The board of the Northwest Chapter of Pinnacle Forum has unanimously voted to withdraw from Pinnacle Forum America and form a new entity. The mission and vision are similar and we will continue to build forums and support our Forum Chairs as we have in the past. Over the next few weeks we will be thoughtfully and prayerfully developing a new name with input from our forum members, chairs, and board.

Reason for the change

This year Pinnacle Forum America instituted new funding policies that our board believed would be detrimental to the effectiveness of our work. Although a nine month discussion took place regarding this matter, it became fundamentally clear that national philosophy and methodologies regarding funding and our local philosophy and methodologies regarding funding were not going to find common ground and that the only option left for us was to form a new entity.

Thanksgiving

We are thankful for our history with Pinnacle Forum America and for all they have done to support us in the past. We are also thankful for the vision of Bill Bright as he called business leaders to bring their godly influence to the culture. We intend to continue that vision and mission in our local context.

Thank you for standing with us as we build forums, strengthen forum chairs, hold round tables and retreats, reach out to the next generation, and encourage business leaders to live the values of Jesus.

Sincerely,

Jon Sharpe, Executive Director
