all-school picnicPenn Charter All-School Cultural Heritage Picnic
Sept. 27, 12-2pm
Enjoy crafts from every continent and food from the many cultures represented in our Penn Charter community. The Grill Squad of seniors and advisors will have hotdogs, hamburgers and grilled chicken for sale (with proceeds benefiting the Senior Prom). Food tables will be located in the Lower School circle and craft tables in the Upper School circle. Rain Location: Field House. How can you help?
  • Bring a dish (salad, vegetable, main dish or dessert) that represents your cultural heritage or just your favorite culture. Please bring food that can be served in small portions, and try to bring it in a disposable container. Consider making a sign to share where your dish is from, what is in it (especially common allergens), and if it is associated with a special holiday.
  • Volunteer to help at a craft table.
  • Volunteer to help with setup, cleanup, food organization, etc.
  • Or just come and enjoy the food and fellowship with our Penn Charter community!
Reminder: If anyone wants to drop off a dish on Friday, Nina Ahmad will be available 2:30-3:30 at the Lower School circle to receive and refrigerate the items.

Contact Michelle Emery (215-438-3356 or [email protected]) or Nina Ahmad (267-304-1670 or [email protected]) to sign up to help or bring a dish, or to ask a question.

Community Auction
Got Phillies fever? The auction has it, too! Think autographed Mike Schmidt baseball. And, as more auction items begin to roll in, please think about being part of the excitement by volunteering for the 2009 Community Auction Committee. You can help in ways both large and small, from check-in to check-out, from ad book to item solicitation. To volunteer, visit the parent page of the PC website, where you can download a form listing the auction subcommittees and chairs. Or contact auction cochairs Diane Bass ([email protected]) or Paula Gordon ([email protected]). Go Phillies!
