Greetings! I want to mention how pleased and grateful I am to our Executive Director of Ministry Support at Unity on the Bay, Diana Perez. She approached me one day about writing these weekly articles for Facebook and our weekly e-blast. For me, it has been a wonderful way of staying in touch with my spiritual family and providing practical reminders on how to live each Sunday lesson throughout the week.
This Sunday we learned about the metaphysical AAA club card. We carry auto club cards in our wallets to protect us from mishaps on the road. We also carry our spiritual AAA cards in our minds to protect us from mishaps in life. Here's the formula:
Awareness: Begin observing yourself as much as possible. Act as if you were watching yourself in a movie. Try to stay in emotional objectivity as you watch the drama of your life unfold. When you see yourself in some manner you consider to be bad or inappropriate or non-spiritual, withhold the judgment. Just notice yourself.
Acceptance: Accept how you see yourself and your life experience. You don't have to always like what you see, but you can benefit greatly from saying, "this is the way it seems to be, to me...I will not judge or condemn it. I will accept it and be at peace with it in my life experience. I will not resist. I will not reject.
Appreciation: I will remind myself that, no matter what I think of my actions, behavior, thoughts or feelings, every part of me is exquisitely made by God. Even that which I judge as my darkest qualities can be used for goodness, and I am receptive bring light to my darkness. I choose to set my judgments aside, thus allowing the brilliance of God's presence to shine unimpeded in all that I am!

Do you know Carol Troendle?
Carol has been serving at Unity on the Bay for many years and has done so in a variety of ways including in her current role as the Treasurer of our Board of Trustees. Through her service within the Board, Carol has held many positions within committees including the Finance Committee and the By-Laws Committee. She has not only served with an open heart but also opened her home to a variety of special activities such as Ministry Retreats and Strategic Visioning. As a member of the An Adventure in Faith Team, Carol has spearheaded the 12 Hours Transformational Journey for many years and brought her experience and love to support AIF in multiple ways. She is a Prayer Emissary Emeritus, facilitator for the Oneness Blessing and so much more. For this and more, Carol Troendle is our Sacred Server of the Month.
