IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN...SANTA-CALI-GON DAYS®
Every week The Voice will feature an update about the upcoming Santa-Cali-Gon Days Festival.
Be on the look out!
Update #9: It's week #9 which goes right along with this SCG announcement.
Last year SCG placed #10 in Sunshine Artist Magazine. Sunshine Artist is a premiere arts and crafts magazine that includes thousands of festivals around the nation. The 2010 SCG Days moved up to #9! Being in the top ten festivals in the nation is a great accomplishment!

Japanese Sister City
13 students from Independence's Sister City Higashimurayamashi, Japan visited the Chamber. The students learned about the Chambers role in the community and received their own SCG Gear to take back with them.

After a successful 35 year career in manufacturing, which took the Mueller's from coast to coast and to many foreign ports of call, Don and Jeanine have decided to remain in Missouri, to begin their next career - that of retailer. Accordingly, they opened Discount Toner & Ink, located at 18931 E. Valley View Parkway (across from Lowe's and Costco) on July 1, 2011, offering a comprehensive assortment of re-manufactured ink and toner cartridges, for all the major printer and fax manufacturers. All ink and toner cartridges are re-manufactured in the United States, under the strictest of quality specifications. And in those rare occasions when the cartridge needed is not in stock, it can be ordered and delivered the very next day in the majority cases.
While Discount Toner & Ink will continue to maintain toners and inks as their core business, plans are already underway to expand the product offering to include office supply and computer supply type items, such as CD's, DVD's, paper goods and stationary, flash drives, and all those little necessary items we all use every day in our homes and offices. In addition to these "necessary" items, Discount Toner & Ink will also offer greeting cards and gift items, some from outdoor enthusiast and artist, Chuck Bird, of Indiana. Within his collection you will find, wood, acrylic and antler writing instruments, bottle stops, multi-purpose tools and more, each with his special touch built in.
