April Membership Luncheon
Thank you to our April Membership Luncheon sponsor MCC-Blue River. Dr. Jim Hinson was the featured speaker. Dr. Hinson updated the audience on the current state of the Independence School District. The presentation looked back at the past and what the Independence School District is doing for the future.

Adult L.E.A.D. - April
The Adult L.E.A.D. Class learned about Independence Public Safety. The class started the morning with a mock car crash involving a teenager that was texting and driving.

Ribbon Cutting
Ted's Trash unveiled their new recycling drop off facility. The new service will be available June 1st. Recycling is only $3 a month and customers will be able to recycle aluminum and tin cans, plastics 1 through 7, newsprint and office paper, and cardboard and paperboard (cereal boxes, for example) in curbside containers. (Glass won't be picked up.)
