The Famous Missionary David Livingstone said, "It is not to make money that I believe a Christian should live. The noblest thing a man can do is, just humbly to receive, and then go amongst others and give".
JFM would like to thank Don Piper Ministries for including the Jesus Frees Ministries website on their bookmarks. And we thank all of you who faithfully pray for and support JFM!
God bless You so much for your help. May He multiply back to you in this life and the one to come!! |

Nyeri Tent Meeting~
South African Evangelist, Mark and Elme Brink, were among the guest speakers at the 2008 Nyeri Tent meeting. Their powerful message and healing ministry touched many lives.
This Pastor had been deaf in one ear for over twenty years and he was healed during the Nyeri Tent Meeting.
On the last day of the Tent Meeting these 18 came forward to receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
Verlie Benline (Cheryl's Aunt) seen here with several children was a blessing to the People of Kenya and everyone misses her so much. For the 6 weeks she was in this country she was a faithful witness to the Gospel of Jesus.

MINISTRY IN SAMBURU ~
Last month Mike, Cheryl, Pastor Wachira and Pastor's son Karani drove to Samburu, a primitive area about 8 hours away. There we teamed up with Bishop Lenanyukie, his wife and Pastor Rafael.
We went into the interior to pass out clothes and encourage a group of new Christians who meet under a tree. |
|
There were over 60 people who showed up at the "Church That Meets Under The Tree" that morning.
We watched a little 3 year old boy and girl as they walked alone, holding hands, for half a mile to the "Church That Meets Under The Tree".
This outdoor congregation stood and sang worship songs, praised God and then sat on the ground as we encouraged them and prayed for the sick.
A middle aged Samburu man who couldn't see to read the Bible was so excited when Mike gave his reading glasses to the man. After the meeting we were invited to see how the Samburu live. The small mud houses, which are made by the wife, are called Manyata.
The Samburu Tribe lives like the familiar Masai Tribe who hunts lions and wears red blankets. We saw many Masaai type warriors tending their flocks.
People all over the world are following Jesus, even those without a church building who meet under a tree. God willing, we will take the Big JFM Tent to that location latter this year and hold a week long meeting! |

PRAYER NEEDS:
FAMINE - When we went to Samburu, we passed several big relief trucks that were bringing white corn meal to the villages suffering from the famine. The Kenyan government says the famine will affect 10 million people.
EVANGELISM - We are seeing great response to our evangelism efforts. Please pray for these new converts and for many more to receive salvation through Jesus.
HIGH SCHOOL PROJECT - We have installed the well pump and generator and built a strong and secure pump house with a large water storage tank. We have been pumping water at the school site for the surrounding community and we have been meeting with Pastor Wachira to strategize about erecting even temporary school structures to move the 130+ students from the rented facility where there is no water or electricity. At the new school site the generator can provide power and water and there is area for growing vegetables and there are already cows, goats, sheep & chickens there to supply milk and food.
Please pray with us for the funding of this High School project.
PRAYER CHANGES THINGS!
