First on the agenda for Team USA 2008 is a Tent Meeting in Nanyuki, Kenya, beginning Sunday October 12th and ending Sunday October 19th.  Nanyuki is located on the equator about one hour from Nyeri.  It was founded by settlers in 1907 and it still has something of a frontier feel. This is enhanced by shops like the Settler's Stores.  Nanyuki is close to a famous photo safari preserve called "Sweetwaters" where the team will spend a day before they return back to the States.

Pastor Sherry & Interpreter John In the past Nanyuki has not been receptive to the Gospel.  We are praying for this Tent Meeting to change the reputation and for many souls to be saved. When we stopped in the town last year, one of the shop owners, David, accepted Jesus as his personal savior.  It will be great to see how much he has matured in the Lord.

The team will be in Kenya for 5 months and during this time a shorter version of the JFM Newsletter will be sent more frequently. This will keep you informed and give you immediate prayer needs.

Would you like to take a short term missions trip to Kenya?

Pastor Wachira:  Moi University
Meru Tent Meeting Rescheduled
Bishop Wachira Karani

Pastor Wachira Karani reported a powerful week at Moi University. Hundreds were saved and thousands were filled with the Holy Spirit.  Christian students were leading their fellow students to Jesus in such numbers that Pastor Wachira said, "Salvation was flowing like a river on the campus!"

Students at Moi UniversityNewspapers reported the Christian Spiritual Emphasis Week at Moi was the most impacting event for Christianity in Kenya ever!

After the week at Moi University Pastor Wachira received an invitation to represent Kenya at the African Summit. Twenty African Nations came together to brainstorm on ways to fulfill Jesus Christ's "Great Commission" to take the Gospel to every nation.  In order to attend the African Summit the September Meru Tent Meeting was reschedule for a later date.

Pastor Wachira appreciates your continued prayers as he preaches throughout Kenya and around the world.
