Mike and Cheryl Freese "Making the Need Known":
With only a month left before we return to Kenya the excitement is begining to build in our hearts. We will be returning with a Team of seven and Cheryl's Aunt Verlie will join us in December.
Our mission: To share Jesus with those who have not heard, to help with the October and December Tent Meetings, to set up a Health Clinic at the Nyeri church, to prepare the Jesus Frees Mission home to receive larger teams coming in 2009, to bring permanent power, pumps and cisterns to the new well at the High School site and begin construction.
Jesus Frees Ministries just passed its 2nd anniversary and we continue to rejoice at what God has done in a very short time! We thank our JFM board of Directors for their awesome contribution to this Ministry. "HE who has begun a good work is faithful to complete it!" |
JFM Treasurer ~ Sharon Bergen: Thanksgiving in November
We could have waited until November to express our thanks to you (and made it a Thanksgiving topic) but it seems that it is a message that cannot wait. We are so grateful to all of you. You have given us your time. It may have been while reading the newsletter, visiting the website or attending meetings. Maybe you are planning to visit us in Kenya and are making preparations in spite of your busy schedules. You have encouraged us with notes and phone calls. You have given financially even though the media reminds almost daily that we are in tough times. You have kept us and our mission in your prayers.
For all these things and more, we humbly and gratefully say "Thank you". We pray that you will be blessed today and in the days to come.
JFM is a Tax-Exempt, Non-Profit Organization.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL HELPS KIDS IN KENYA, AFRICA
 Valle Vista Assembly of God's Children's Pastor, Becca Helms (pictured right with her sister and co-worker Drea) chose the theme "Fruit of the Spirit " for VBS 2008. She asked the children to Help show God's love by bringing school supplies and Flip-Flop Sandals for the children in Nyeri, Kenya.
Becca said, "Our theme was Bushels of Love for Kenya and we sat out baskets and the kids filled them up!" The children also brought offerings totaling $237 to help
the children in Kenya.
Valle Vista is planning to send a team over in January and Becca will present the items to the High School and the Kenya Kids Home.
Psalm 145:6 says, "One generation shall praise Your Works to another, and shall declare YOUR MIGHTY ACTS."
God Bless You Becca for passing Jesus on to the next generation. |

Welcome to Kenya!
When first wriiten and sang the following verses from Psalm 45 were writen for an earthly king; however, soon after the exile of the Jews it became a Psalm with reference to our Messiah! Today, we see this Psalm as a wonderful encouragement for our missions' efforts.
"In your majesty ride forth victoriously,
In behalf of truth, humility, and righteousness,
let you right hand display awesome deeds,
let your sharp arrows pierce the hearts of the king's enemies, let the nations fall at your feet! " Psalm 45: 4,5
I get so excited as I think of how often we see the mighty works of our King when we are serving Him in the missions' opportunities. All that we do, as we serve, is done in humility and on the behalf of His righteousness.
It is our great desire to assist you to enjoy an experience such as this. Please let us know how we can assist you to come to Kenya. There is so much you can be involved in, as you desire, and as the Lord has gifted you.

| PASTOR WACHIRA: MOI UNIVERSITY
Receive Greetings From Kenya!
I have been given a great assignment from the Lord. I am to speak at Moi University in Eldoret , Kenya. It is the largest secular university in East Africa. From Monday September 15th - 19th I'll be teaching Christian training classes and preaching the Gospel of Jesus! The week will conclude on Sunday the 21st where I will be able to speak to 24,000 students as they come together for a special meeting. We are praising God for this great opportunity. 
Thank you for praying for the next generation of Kenya's leaders.

Up Comming Tent Meeting in Meru Kenya
The next tent meeting will be held this month 21st - 28th in Meru, a town in the central part of Kenya located on the Kathita River, on the northeast slopes of Mount Kenya. It is situated about five miles north of the equator, at approximately 5,000 feet altitude, in an area of mixed forest and clearings, small towns, villages, and rural farms.
Meru Town is a business, agricultural and educational center for the northeast of Kenya. It has banks and hotels, markets and transportation terminals. It is an important coffee producing area. In addition tea, timber, cattle, dairy products, "french" beans and many other manner of products are produced in Meru District.
 Meru is the prime growing area in Kenya of Khat, an addictive stimulant drug, Many farmers prefer growing Khat since it is financially lucrative to produce.
During this Tent Meeting please pray for drug dependency to be replaced with Freedom in Jesus. JESUS FREES... and if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed!
