I just have finished the recovery work with my team from one of the most fulfilling Tent meetings of my life. People came in thousands but while I presented the Love of God to them, you could here the sound of a pin -drop. Very hungry people.
This time, in this witchcraft dominated area, God used a known mad-man as a bait to catch the whole village. When I was preaching the 1st person to come forward was this mad-man ready to strike me. I rebuked the demons and people only came to learn about his deliverance later the following day when they saw him in the tent in his right mind testifying about the greatness of God. |
 The head-count of the decisions made was 180 persons but the people that came forward to be prayed for every night totaled to over 1000. All this is to the Glory of our Father in heaven.
Thanks to JFM and the Leaders who assure me of their continued support especially of prayer and miraculous finances. -

Ezra & Rev. Sherry Cox: Short-Term Missions Directors
The following is from an article I recently read ("ENRICHMENT," Summer 2008 edition). The article so clearly identified the reason we are so involved in short-term missions' efforts. The title of the article: "Short-Term Missions That Last"
"The book of Acts is replete with powerful, short-term missions' experiences that had lasting results. Acts 8:26-40 records 'an important and effective missions' encounter--Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch. Peter's mission at Cornelius' house lasted only a few days, but had a fruitful outcome-Acts 10. Short-term missions exposes people to the needs on the field and helps them open their hearts to God's call---
"In many closed or restricted areas, well-trained, short-term missions' teams are a tremendous resource. Teams contact people who are interested in the Gospel but have no access to Bibles or Christian literature---Many teams bring the Gospel into homes and villages for the first time---"
The article goes on to identify those qualities that are so important in individuals and teams that participate in short-term missions' opportunities. To identify a few of those qualities:
"Go where the need is--- go to serve---be flexible---be a blessing, not a burden---" those leading the short-term teams recognize that these qualities are only possible following much prayer for the team. The Holy Spirit will guide!
"Spirit-led, short-term missions, if done strategically, bring positive results---Jesus (knowing this) sent out teams (Mark 3: 13-15)---short-term missions with long-term vision is Biblical, fruitful, and can greatly impact the church for God's kingdom.

Making the Need Known In Washington
 The Lord Jesus tells us in Luke 18:29, when we leave houses and lands for His sake, they will be mulitplied back to us. Mike and Cheryl have found that to be true. They have been welcomed into many homes and been allowed to park the 5th wheel in many beautiful lands while sharing the vision of Jesus Frees Ministries on a daily basis with churches, pastors and individuals.
Pastor Joseph Meyers of Soaplake Assembly (pictured above) warmly welcomed Mike & Cheryl while caring for his wife Ruth as she went through emergency surgery. Ruth still needs our prayers. |
Bob & Patti Davisson introduced and hosted Mike and Cheryl in Soaplake, WA where they shared morning Bible Studies. |
Bif and Jerrie Ferrell were also wonderful hosts in Chelan, WA and introduced Jesus Frees to many churches and individuals. |
 Mike and Leslie Gaul hosted Mike and Cheryl in Ephrata WA. What a sweet time of fellowship with Pastor Tom and Sharon Ridout and Pastor Jerry and Lois Sanders and the great Gang at the home of Denise and Tim McNamara, Fellow Kenya workers.
We look forward to returning to Washington when Pastor Wachira arrives. |
| Why Build a High School in Kenya?
Public High School is not available and over 300,000 High School Students cannot attend school because there is a shortage of schools and funds. There are over 100 students meeting in these humble conditions and they are advancing dispite the distractions and difficulties.
The building of the high school will not only provide a safe place for the students to grow intellectually, emotionally and physically, the students will grow strong in the knowledge of the Lord. They will receive the benefit of a learning environment that will provide safe running water (now water must be carried by donkey) and improved sleeping arrangements (now they sleep two per single bed).
The improved learning environment will prepare students for a role of leadership as professionals. The first phase of this project will house students and teachers and provide classrooms for 300.

- The Mwea Tent Meeting this month had almost 5,000 people attend on the last night with many salvations and healings.
- Many doors were opened to JFM in Washington
- A new camera was supplied to replace Pastor Wachira's stolen one

- Mike's Mom has a physical need with surgery on 6-30-08
- Safe Travel for Pastor Wachira's Upcoming USA Trip 7-13-08
- Services & Appointments during Pastor's visit to the Northwest
- Resources to come in for the High School Project
- Pastor's son is graduating from the East Africa School of Theology and is praying for funds to do his post grad work at Vanguard University
- Invitations for tent meetings are coming from very far where we
are not able to bring back the church sound equipment like we have done in the past. Pray to God to give us another set just for tent and crusade meetings as soon as possible.
James 5:16 "Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working."
