Mike and Cheryl Freese: Making the Need Known

    A Short Term
Missions Trip to Kenya
is planned for January 2009.
Ms Sinclair-Students-Mike Ms Sinclair and the Titans' Christian Club at a high school in Hemet, CA were excited to become involved with the work in Kenya.   They were amazed to hear that High School in Kenya isn't free and there is only space for half of the students.  They were sad to find out that it would cost a days wage for a Kenyan student to mail a pen pal letter to the United States.  The Christian Club is collecting items for the High School students at the Kenya Vision View School and they will be having fund raising activities to involve the whole student body.

The leadership of several other churches in Southern California heard about Jesus Frees Ministries as we presented to the Dwelling Place, World Harvest and Homeland Calvary Chapel. Pastor Henry Lundy at Southwest Christian Fellowship in California and Pastor Ealum of Living Word Praise Center in Oregon gave us opportunity to share in their Sunday morning services. We have gained several new partners to help build the permanent High School campus in Chaka, Kenya.

If you or your church or business is looking for a great place to make an investment that will touch and change lives in Kenya, please contact us.

Sellah The Bible says "and the prayer of faith will heal the sick" James 5:15a

Sunday morning 5-25-08 at the Living Word and Praise Center, Mike asked anyone needing to be healed to come forward for prayer.  Marcy Smith came forward because an X-ray had revealed a growth in her left kidney.  We prayed in Jesus' Name and believed God for her healing.  Marcy went in for follow up X-rays on 5-27-08 and after one hour of searching, the X-Ray tech could not find the growth.  The tech called for the doctor and they all agreed that it was a miracle!  Glory to Jesus Christ the great healer!

Please Pray For:

PASTOR WACHIRA:   April Tent Meeting in Muranga

Bishop Wachira Karani
This tent meeting was more than I could have ever thought.  Really, God is in this ministry.  Over 600 people answered the altar call for a new walk with the Master.

A woman with a broken jaw and teeth who could not chew for ten years was instantly healed.  A blind lady was healed instantly and spent the next day looking around the town of Muranga at all the writings.  It was wonderful for her to behold.

Many, many miracles took place but I don't so much spend a lot of time on that for they are God's publicity to non- believers. Salvation is the big deal here.  Even if there was not a single miracle but lives are changed, the job is excellent and all the Glory back to Him and we proceed on to the next station.

Grace and peace be multiplied in your lives. - Pastor Wachira

JFM Treasure Sharon Bergen : A Message of Gratitude

Sharon and Pastor Margaret In recent weeks the newspaper has carried several articles claiming that Americans seem to be suffering from "donor fatigue".  They mentioned a few possible contributing factors and concluded that not much could be done to remedy the situation. But Americans are neither the first nor the only people to face this issue.  Apostle Paul wrote to the Galatians: "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.  As we therefore have opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith."  Paul was speaking of all our actions and thoughts.  He encourages us to remain faithful in showing kindness (whether in deeds, prayer or giving).

And we continue to give thanks for you.  We know your prayers and financial support are opening doors that may have remained closed without your faithfulness.  As we partner together we can trust that the season for reaping is coming.

Be blessed! - Sharon

JFM Short Term Missions Directors:
Ezra & Rev. Sherry Cox

Pastor Wachira, Ezra & Rev Sherry One of the primary goals of Jesus Frees Ministries is to promote opportunities for individuals to "experience" the mission field. Why is this so important to Jesus Frees Ministries? I believe it is because we have all "been there"--where so many are today--questioning whether they have anything to offer to the Lord's work.

So many Christians feel the "tug" of the Spirit to fulfill God's call, yet don't know where to start. We want to give you an experience in doing God's work that will "spur" you on to do all God has prepared for you! Did you know that, as God's child, you have been shown very special favor? Yes, read Ephesians 2:8&9, "It is by the GRACE (favor)...we are created in Christ Jesus to do good works."

Well, many of us who have experienced "doing good works" on a short-term missions' trip know the fulfillment of using whatever gifts and talents that are given to us. We know that we never have to question again whether we have anything to offer to Him! Wow! What a wonderful feeling! God has enabled ALL of us to go and serve. We want you to have that same opportunity, and we are ready to receive you and encourage you.

So many possibilities! Just tell us what you would like to do. There is no limit to the possibilities. We have prepared a place for you. Simply contact us at GoToKenya@JesusFreesMinistries.org and we will get you started. One last thought...

In the greatest sermon ever preached, Jesus laid out the "missions" plan: "You are the light of the world...let your light so shine before men that they may see your GOOD WORKS and praise your Father in heaven!"      COME!

Kenya Korner: Sellah Karanga Sellah and Children

Sellah is a Kenyan woman who has answered the call of God to teach children about Jesus.  She has been the Children's Ministries Director for the Central Province and is now in intense Christian Leadership training in Tanzania.  She recently emailed a word of encouragement:  "YOU ARE A GREAT TREASURE IN THE HANDS OF THE MIGHTY GOD AND WITH YOU HE'LL SHUTTER NATIONS, YOU ARE HIS WAR CLUB. HOLD FAST ONTO HIM THE AUTHOR AND THE FINISHER OF OUR FAITH. HALLELUJAH! TO GOD  BE THE PRAISE FOREVERMORE. REMEMBER: GOODNESS IS SOMETHING SO SIMPLE, ALWAYS TO LIVE FOR OTHERS NEVER TO SEEK ONE'S OWN ADVANTAGE.  THE ONLY KIND OF DIGNITY WHICH IS GENUINE IS THAT WHICH IS NOT DIMINISHED BY THE DIFFERENCE OF OTHERS. THANK YOU AND PASS MY REGARDS TO THE CHURCH IN AMERICA."  - Sellah

        Pamelah and Pastor Wachira
My experience with Mike and Cheryl Freese was one that changed my life's perception.  God ordained that I meet them on the 4th of November 2007 in my church-K.A.G Christian Centre. I had just graduated from the University.

I once asked Cheryl if she felt insecure when the political crisis rocked Kenya and wanted to go back to the US. She said "No! God wants us to be here to witness and pray with you. I know that He is with us."
I give thanks everyday to God for the American brother and sister He brought in my life. They have taught me to be hopeful, positive minded and know that Jesus is always there to listen to me and answer my prayers.

My family -mother and younger brother - also met them. My brother, Kennedy said in Swahili, "Kama Wazungu wanamfanyia Mungu kazi hivi, hata mimi naweza!" When translated, it means" If these white people can work so hard for God, so can I" Being a teenager, the positive impact they left in his life will forever influence him.
Church has no race, tribe or affiliations- it just has brothers and sisters who are bound together by the cords of love. The love of Christ is the common denominator.
May God richly bless you! - Pamelah
