KENYA POST-ELECTION REPORT:

202 KAG churches have been destroyed and over 400 pastors displaced
34 people from The Rift Valley found sanctuary at the church in Nyeri.
In the book of Acts, the 1st Century Christians suffered great persecution.

THE RESULT: The church grew by astonishing proportions!

The night the first 19 arrived at the church we met them in the church orphanage where the Kenya Kids were preparing dinner for them.
That was a touching scene to say the least.  Since then three pastors
and their families have found sanctuary.

The families spent the first few weeks
sleeping in the church Sunday School rooms on foam pads.  These rooms are very rustic: tin roof, dirt floor, no running water, but quite an improvement from the forest.

One of the women from Eldoret gave birth only 4 days before her home was burned and she had to run for her life carrying the baby.  Pastor Margaret made sure the new born baby boy and the mother received medical checkups and we are thankful to report they are both fine.

There are several school aged children in the group who are being interviewed for class placement because their records were burned
in the fires. They should be able to start attending
their new schools soon.

During the day the displaced men from Eldoret volunteered their time to help the
work at the Chaka High School
site.  Daniel Njuguna said, "We have been so glad to help clear the ground for the High School construction site.  The work has helped us stay busy so we don't sit around thinking about all we have lost ."

Those of your who have made contributions to help the victims, please know your assistance has been a tremendous help.

God bless you!

Until these families are established we will continue to receive
funds for
their basic needs.

REPORT:  CHAKA HIGH SCHOOL WELL PHENOMENON
We were praying to hit a GREAT River and that is exactly what happened at
180 meters! The output report says that we can pump 1100 gallons per hour
and the flow is inexhaustible!  The tester said it is quite a phenomenon and we must have tapped into an underground river flowing from Mount Kenya!

When God wants to get a job done He does it in a great way!!!

After hitting water we experienced difficulty with the well casing placement. The
pipe became wedged at 120 meters with 60 remaining meters and after
many attempts it looked like the well may need to be abandoned! We increased
our prayer efforts, and GLORY TO GOD, after the Tuesday night prayer meeting
as we were walking out of the church we received a call that the casing had
miraculously dislodged and was now installed the entire 180 meters (600 feet).

The Chaka area is arid and the only source of water has been a small creek and
a contaminated pond. People living around the area are now coming to get
fresh water from this new well! PRAISE GOD!

Now, it is time to plant a church in Chaka and begin supplying the LIVING WATER!

Our next step is to raise the funds for the power supply, pump and the storage
tanks.

Thank you for your prayers. Without water this school project could not go on!

REPORT: RESTORATION AT MOI UNIVERSITY ELDORET
Moi University is the largest university in East Africa.   Jesus Frees
Ministries made a trip to Eldoret to minister with Pastor Wachira during
the December 16th Sunday Morning service of the Christian Union.
There were 1,800 students in attendance.  We were able to encourage
the students and then Pastor Wachira delivered a POWERFUL
RESTORATION message on "Samson's Second Chance".  At the
end of the message it was a beautiful time of recommitment, restoration
and first time salvations as over 100 students came forward.

We were later informed that the school has never seen this type of
powerful response.  Praise God! We had no way of knowing that just
14 days later the area would erupt into violence and death.  We also
have no way of knowing if some of casualties found heaven because of
that "Restoration Service!"

GOD KNOWS - OURS IS JUST TO KEEP SERVING.
A PERSONAL NOTE FROM MIKE AND CHERYL

When the plane touched down in Houston, Texas it was hard to believe our four months in Kenya   had come to an end.  It was a beautiful, rewarding and thrilling time.  We witnessed over 600
people making decisions to accept Jesus' gift of eternal life.  It was a growing time for us and we
can sing that song, "I will never be the same again. I will never return, I've closed the door.  I will walk the path, I'll run the race and I will never be the same again!"

Many of you prayed for our safety during this time and we are grateful.  We were kept in the Shadow of the Almighty!

Mike did a great job learning to drive on the "wrong side" of the road and the "wrong side" of the car.  Now he keeps turning on the wipers whenever he wants to change lanes. This gives us a good laugh and fond memories.

We know just as God had a wonderful source of water for the Chaka High School, He has a wonderful source for the finances and we will follow the Lord as He supplies for His work.

While we are in the States we will continue learning to speak Swahili -
Mungu ni mkuu!  God is Great!
May God Richly Bless You
