Happy Holidays from Tech Painting
Jim Nicolson
Our lives seem to get forever more hectic and we rarely get the time to slow down to enjoy the little things in life as much as we should. I realized that I had not taken much time out to recognize you, our customers, for being the foundation of our company's success. I hope everyone enjoys a joyous holiday season and I'm looking forward to a bright future in the new year for everyone.

Thank You,
Jim Nicolson

Gobbler GallopTech Painting is proud to have been one of the sponsors of the first annual Gobbler Gallop Fun Run at Waynewood Elementary School in Fairfax County. The event promoted fitness for all ages. Participants ran one mile and the winners were awarded turkeys for their achievement. The Fun Run took place on Saturday, November 21st.  The youngest runner was 3 years old. Event organizers raised awareness about the importance of exercise.

Exterior before and afterThis home in Alexandria's Del Ray neighborhood was in dire need of our care. Paint was peeling off of the cedar shingles in large wispy flakes right down to the bare wood.  The homeowner was frustrated by the look of her home which had only been painted within the last few years but looked instead like a home that hadn't been painted in the last quarter century. Tech Painting was hired to make things right. Thorough power-washing of all of the surfaces combined with days of scraping, sanding and sealing made the home ready for its final coats of paint.  We used Sherwin Williams Duration semi-gloss for all of the trim and Sherwin Williams Woodscapes Solid Hide Stain for all of the shingles and siding. The result was a revitalized home that is now the envy of the neighborhood.

Off-the-Job Training
trainingOur painters are constantly trying to keep up to date with the latest painting procedures and techniques. Here one of our supervisors, Jamil Herbas, teaches members of his crew in the finer points of paint removal. This training here in our warehouse saves many man hours on the job and this, of course, translates in to potentially huge savings for our customers. Our painters benefit by learning more efficient procedures and out customers benefit from having trained professionals on the job.
