Interior Decorating It can be both a daunting and richly rewarding process. Many of our clients refer to a decorator for all their design ideas and needs, while others enjoy trying to create their own look for their living spaces.
There is an abundance of qualified decorators in the metro area, and choosing one can become a very personal decision. Most decorators will want to meet with you, as their ideas for your home are influenced by their perceptions about your personality.
We have worked over the years with several different decorators on various clients' homes. Our relationship has developed with these decorators because of our ability to provide what the decorator has in mind for each exclusive project. Each decorator is unique, and our success in this process has been due in part to our ability to modify our approach with each individual.
The success of the decorator is in large part due to their ability to coordinate with the various trades, their various suppliers, and to provide the client a home that both represents their own character and their own specific taste.

For the Do-It-Yourself Decorator
For those of you who like to try your own hand at decorating, there
many websites and online resources to help you. Much of the time when
seeking out fabrics,
window treatments, or furniture, you might come up against the dreaded "available to decorators and architects only." This can quickly put a
damper on the decorating process. However, a designer friend of ours
has developed a website to give you the opportunity to access these
otherwise unavailable resources. The website is called My Design Secrets and it is very easy to navigate to the various vendors. Click the Quick Links in the left-hand margin and get designing! |
Job of the Month
How would you like the Potomac River and Wilson Bridge as part of the panoramic view from your living room window? Believe it or not, the view from the inside of this condominium at National Harbor Place is almost just as spectacular as what you see above. Builder and developer Facchina-McGaughan brought us in to complete the custom work for this exclusive residence they built.
The living room and dining room are one continuous space, with walls boasting three complementary colors. There is also one wall of large French doors that open to look out over the harbor's amenities, including "The Awakening" statue, recently relocated from Hains Point in DC. The three-bedroom unit is serviced by two elevators that bring you directly inside the unit. Our painters have worked long hours to bring this job in on time for the owner's arrival. |
