Another summer of fun, sun and sand, and while you rode the waves we rode our truck from the Village of Salvo to Ocean Hill in Corolla. We managed to squeeze jobs into weeks between renters by working long hours but the result was magnificent. Happy renters and happy homeowners across the OBX.

Decks Need Color, Too

Before
Nags Head Deck Transformed Like any typical deck that has weathered a few seasons of baking hot sun and wind-blown sand, this deck had turned gray. The wood looked parched and aged beyond its years. What's more, it detracted from the otherwise beautiful paint scheme of the home.
Tech arrived to wash off the sand and mildew and begin the revitalization process. The homeowner chose the color "Cedar Bark" from the Sherwin Williams semi-transparent stain collection to complement the existing colors of the house. Semi-transparent stain also allows the natural beauty of the wood's grain to show and is actually enhanced by the way the stain penetrates the wood. The result is unmistakable, and the home owner were clearly impressed.

Beach House Finished in Time for the Renters
This large Corolla home was completed in under two weeks in the nick of time for the beginning of the rental season in June. Exhaustive efforts during the prep stage made all the difference. All surfaces were thoroughly washed to remove dirt, sand, and mildew. When the house was dry the siding and trim was completely scraped and sanded. Loose trim was re-secured and all gaps were filled with caulk. The homeowner's precise choice of the various colors made all the difference in making this a beachfront masterpiece.
