Please Help Repeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" (DADT)

Did you know that the Department of Defense has discharged nearly 12,500 servicemembers since the DADT law was enacted in 1994?  This law forces gay and lesbian servicemembers to hide their sexual orientation as an honest statement to anyone at anytime is grounds for discharge.  In addition, although women make up only about 19% of the Armed Forces, they've accounted for almost 50% of the discharges under DADT.   The Servicemembers Legal Defense Network  (SLDN) is working hard to get this bad law repealed and replace it with open service for all gay and lesbian servicemembers, but we need your help.

The Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), the nation's largest and most influential voice for military officers, has just created a survey on DADT to enable them to formulate their position on the repeal of DADT.  Please take a minute or two to go to the below link and fill out the survey - there are only five questions and it should only take a few minutes of your time.  Anyone can complete the survey and since MOAA is 300,000 strong and the average member's age is about 75 (and likely fairly conservative), your input is vital to helping them make the right decision on this issue.

Thanks so much for your help, Linda
