2010 SOLIDWORKS CUSTOMER SURVEY

We are pleased to announce DS SolidWorks Corporation is performing a customer satisfaction survey again in 2010. The results of this survey are extremely important to us.

As always, Symmetry Solutions encourages your feedback and welcomes ways we can improve your customer experience. At any time feel free to contact us and please, before completing the survey, if there is anything you cannot enter as a positive experience contact us so we may try to help you.

DS SolidWorks Corp has again commissioned NetReflector, an independent marketing firm to conduct the survey via email.  For the second straight year I am able to provide a URL in case you missed the email (probably due to spam filters).

Please take the survey at your convenience.

Tips & Tricks

Simulation Premium Nonlinear
Our SolidWorks Simulation Nonlinear, 2-day training course provides an overview on a wide range of nonlinear structural/mechanical analysis topics. You will learn how to deal with models that exhibit large displacements and/or yielding, discuss and practice the use of many material models available in SolidWorks Simulation and, most importantly, how to drive a non-linear analysis to successful completion.  Prerequisite: SolidWorks Simulation.  This class does have a fee.

Kinematic Automation
Uses SolidWorks to
Automate the Manufacturing of
Life-Saving
Diagnostic Products

Kinematic Automation machines can have 5,000 parts. In designing them, the company has used SolidWorks to:

  • Shorten time to market by 30-40 percent;

  • Reduce development cost by 25 percent; and

  • Cut scrap and rework costs by 50 percent.

Learn how they did it...

Custom Properties and Capitalization in 3DVIA
When using the meta-properties in 3DVIA that are coming from the Custom Properties in SolidWorks files, be aware how 3DVIA deals with capitalization of the property names.

While SolidWorks and Windows Explorer don't see the difference between DESCRIPTION, Description, and description (as long as they are all spelled the same), 3DVIA see these as three different properties.  Learn more!
